Marine Protected Area Fee

Upon arrival in Waisai, you will be required to pay the Marine Protected Area tax, which ranges from:

• IDR 300,000 to IDR 700,000, depending on the length of your stay.

Requirements

• Minimum Certification: Advanced Diver or Open Water with at least 15 dives (for diving)
• Minimum Age: 16 years old
• Difficulty: Intermediate-Advanced level for diving, easy for snorkeling

   No, but BCD, regulator, tank (for diving), and snorkeling equipment are available for rent:

   Snorkeling is suitable for beginners, but diving requires an Advanced or Open Water certification with a minimum of 15 dives.
3. Is there a fee for entering the Marine Protected Area?
   Yes, you need to pay between IDR 300,000 and IDR 700,000 upon arrival in Waisai.
